“SIBERIAN BLIZZARD” | for Rakhmaninov | New Classical Piano Music | Edoardo Brotto

This grand concert étude in sonata form is the last of five major works. With this one, my homage to Rakhmaninov, is now finished. The works numbering follows the chronological order of my ideas as they unfolded. This piece is quite special to me, I like to call it “The Edd minor étude“. I had the first thematic idea over a year ago and I quickly developed the first section (until ). From there, I had some ideas on the adagio which never really satisfied me.
