CX-5 and CX-3 A pillar trim

A video tutorial on removing the A Pillar trim and the tether that holds it to the bodywork. Removing this trim allows easy access to run a wire for a dash cam or other accessory. Such a wire should not be run around the door seal and crossed over the airbag as it is dangerous to do so. The official Mazda method is to cut the tether but it can be re-used as long as it isn’t damaged. If you choose to renew it, the part number is KB7W-68-162A from any Mazda dealer.
