Recorded in various sessions between 1978 and 1980, and reissued in 2022, this album showcases Gore’s deep belief in the transformative power of music. His vision was to create soundscapes that could heal and elevate the human spirit, a conviction palpable in every note of this eclectic mix of soul-jazz, fusion, and modal jazz. The album opens with “Musication (The Talismen) (1),“ featuring a rich interplay of tenor sax and electric piano, setting the stage for the deeply spiritual journey ahead. “Revival Time (Nella’s Farewell)“ is a poignant track that beautifully blends soulful melodies with reflective lyrics. “The Very Thought Of You“ highlights Gore’s vocal prowess, offering a heartfelt rendition of this classic.
