Tawanchai PK SaenchaiMuayThaiGym is a Thai fighter who, as of Demeter 2020, was rated at the number two pound-for-pound fighter in the world according to the Thai newspaper ‘The Nation’. He grew up in Pattaya and started his fighting career aged eight. By fourteen he had moved to Bangkok and made his debut at Lumpini Stadium. He quickly made a name for himself in the stadiums and secured the Thai 126 pound title in 2017. In 2018 he fought a trilogy with Kalubdam, 2017 fighter of the year, just weeks apart and won all three matches (and a six million baht side bet), cementing himself as one of Thailand’s top fighters. He went on to fight a trilogy against Sangmanee, winning two of the three fights and handing Sangmanee his first stoppage loss. Tawanchai has since signed with ONE Championship and recently made his debut against tough Irishman Sean Clancy, ending that fight with a highlight reel KO.
