Akai 646

On the night of December 8, 1980, I was recording tunes broadcast live from WLS-FM-95 in Chicago on my old Sony TC-252D, when the DJ broke in to announce John Lennon had been fatally shot. Replaying this tape 39 yrs. later on the Akai 646 brings back sad memories of that senseless even more reason to celebrate John’s life and talent. What a tragedy. Rest Easy, John. 😢
