Maija Kauhanen: Finlandia

Maija Kauhanen is an award-winning multitalented instrumentalist, singer, composer and lyricist. Maija specializes in the rare technique of playing kantele by using a wooden stick as a plectrum, creating magical soundscapes celebrating Finnish mentality. She has made this truly exceptional arrangement of the Finlandia hymn by Jean Sibelius, which is the first arrangement of the piece made exclusively for this kantele type.
