Family of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael Al-Dahdouh are killed in Israeli air strike

The family of Al Jazeera’s Gaza bureau chief Wael al-Dahdouh have been killed in an Israeli air strike that targeted their home in al-Nuseirat camp in the Gaza Strip. Al-Dahdouh was live on air covering Israel’s attacks on the Gaza strip when the attack occurred. The assault comes a day after US Secretary of State Tony Blinken demanded that Qatar suppress Al Jazeera’s coverage of Gaza. The Palestinian death toll from Israel’s ongoing air strikes on the Gaza Strip has passed 6,546 including 2,704 children, according to the Palestinian health ministry.
