First of all, I LOVE this band. Second of all, this vocalist is insanely good. (This was very difficult and I ended up re-tracking it 3 times). These lyrics inspired me to be even more truthful and simplistic in my writing . These lyrics are honest, raw and to-the-point. I also resonate with this song’s meaning personally. I’ve explored this topic before in songs like “I Want to Know You“ ( Dress the Dead) but have always struggled with using too much metaphor. This song is a perfect example of what happens when you simply tell the whole truth and leave nothing out.
