King And Queen Visit The Clyde (1920)

Rothesay, Strathclyde. L/S of King George V on the deck of a submarine in the Clyde, various Naval officers and dignitaries surround him. The sea is very choppy and in the distance we see the large hills. The submarine is an M.2 - at that time one of the biggest submarines in the World. M/S of the king and Queen Mary being helped up from the submarine’s hatchways by one of the naval officers. M/S of the Royal party getting into a motor boat waiting at the side of the submarine. As the motor boat moves away from the submarine, the submarine officers standing on the deck salute.
