Floods Devastate Ordu Province in Turkey Heavy summer rains caused significant flooding in Ordu Province, located along Turkey’s Black Sea coast, on July 7, 2024. The storm, packing powerful downpours, overwhelmed local rivers and streams, leading to overflowing waterways and flash floods. While the full extent of the damage is still being assessed, reports indicate that the flooding impacted several areas within the province, particularly the Altınordu district. The rising waters inundated streets, submerging homes and businesses. Local media reported the Bulbul River overflowing its banks, causing significant damage to nearby infrastructure.
