renderbaron Breakdown Nº 01 - Animated Sun in Cinema 4D
Breakdown of the Sun sequence in TV-documentary ZDF “Terra X“, episode “A Question of Time () by animation studio renderbaron. Volumetric effects were created by using visible/ volumetric Omni Lights as a container for 3D-Noise textures and 3D-Gradients. With this technique you can easily create complex volumetric effects such as rays, coronas and solar flares.
While this workflow is solely based on volumetric light sources with 3D-textures the results are rendered at lightspeed with Cinema 4Ds internal Standard Renderer. Plasma arcs were procedurally modeled with MoGraph and pCONNECOTR plugin by tca studios.
