The Subtle (and Not So Subtle) Military Propaganda in Movies

The Department of Defense has shaped its own image in pop culture for decades. Any production that wants to borrow military technology or man-power on-screen has to go through the DoD Entertainment office. In exchange for DoD’s resources, DoD gets script approval. VNT meets the Chief of DoD Entertainment Media and tells us the sort of revisions they do and a Communications Professor tells us how these changes alter audience perception.
