Stephen Aron: Serendipity (Three Musings)

This final movement of my solo guitar work, Three Musings, is a fantasy based on a simple blues-derived hook. It uses contrasting ways of treating the theme and flirts with unrelated styles. With the sixth string tuned to F, the piece bounces back and forth between the poles of F and A. Sometimes sensitive and lyrical, sometimes wildly driving and blindingly fast, this piece lands where it must, driven by simple serendipity.
