Pinyon Jay - San Diego County

Pinyon Jays wintered in the northern Mt Laguna and Cuyamaca area of San Diego County from late fall 2011 through early spring 2012. Pinyon Jays are rare in San Diego County. I took these videos, recordings, and most of the pictures in March 2012 at Cuyamaca State Park. The flight pictures I took when I first discovered them in the northern Mt Laguna area near mile marker 28 on the Sunrise Hwy. At least 200 Pinyon Jays were at this location.
