Well, this really isn’t an AU storyline because it could still happened ;-) but being realistic I call it AU. It’s about Caroline Forbes and all the horrible things she’s been through and how her friends paint her as perfect even so she has problems on her own. And only when she is left with nothing (both her parents are dead) Elena and Stefan realize how much Caroline needs them. After Liz died Caroline turns to the darkest side of her vampirsm. Her good friend Stefan has to accept that he can’t help her
