Facing Off in Professional Air Hockey #airhockey #arcade

In professional Air Hockey competition each match begins with a Face-off. The referee instructs each player to be ready, then releases the puck after 1, 2, 3 or 4 seconds (determined secretly by the ref). Both players attempt to get control of the puck. The winner of the Face-off earns the first possession, and then each game thereafter, as players swap sides, the puck will start on that same side of the table. So, if the match goes a full 7 games, the Face-off winner will begin the last game with possession. Here we see 4-time World Champion Billy Stubbs against current dominant World Champ Colin Cummings.
