DiResta 13’ Slab Table

This is a 13’ x 50“ x 5“ thick cedar slab purchases from Brett did the flattening to learn how to do it. he used my Stanley #8 jointer plane. This table will live partially outside under an open veranda I used Total Boat penetrating epoxy on the entire slab (top and bottom and all edges) and then 5-6 coats of Total Boat Gleam gloss SparVarnish (client wanted gloss finish) sanding between all coats. After this video wrapped I sanded and sprayed the last 2 coats with giving it a more smooth glossy finish then in the last few shots The steel was finished with and clear coat welded with:
