Masoud Pezeshkian inaugurated Iran’s new president in official ceremony
Masoud Pezeshkian was inaugurated by the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, at a ceremony on Sunday in the capital city of Tehran.

Pezeshkian, a reformist among his peers, is a medical surgeon and former health minister, who vowed to respond to the electorates demand for change. Pezeshkian was elected in early July after his predecessor, Ebrahim Raisi, was killed in a helicopter accident.
