Don Sebesky - Footprints Of The Giant

“Footprints of the Giant“ is an elaboration of an idea Don once tried out for Doc Severinsen, “but nothing ever happened with it“. The giant, of course, is Béla Bartók (1881-1945), and the footprints are the various themes chosen from among his works -- “Violin concerto“, “Concerto for orchestra“, the “String quartet no. 6. The main body of this performance, however, is built on the second movement of “Music for Strings, Percussion and Celeste“.
