Farmington, New Mexico — On Monday, May 15, 2023, at about 11:00 a.m. 18-year-old Beau Wilson stepped out of his home and opened fire on neighboring houses and passing cars, police said. He was supposed to graduate from Farmington High School the next day. The sound of the 18-year-old gunman’s rapid-fire shots was captured on a Farmington resident’s Ring camera before Wilson can clearly be heard calling for punishment. At least 150 shots from an AR-15 rifle were fired at the scene, according to police. The front door video showed 79-year-old Shirley Voita’s vehicle coming down a roadway with the driver’s door opened. Vehicles could be seen reversing away from the shooting scene. Voita was killed in the shooting, along with two other victims identified as Gwendolyn Dean Schofield, 97, her 73-year-old daughter, Melody Ivie. Audio from the neighbor’s camera heard Wilson yell, “Kill Me.“
