A myxoma is a rare, usually noncancerous, primary tumor (a new growth of tissue) of the heart. It is the most common of all benign heart tumors, but a rare surgical procedure to witness. Here, Dr. Denton Cooley, Surgeon-in-Chief of the Texas Heart Institute performs the removal of a large myxoma. This video is in two parts.
