Obscure Lupine Quietus (UK) — Primeval Rituals MMXIII — 2021 demo

The sixth demo from this British occultist trio of unreleased 2013 material. As with other releases it features a ritualistic sort of ambience, with two tracks (intro and outro) sculped in a dark ambient pattern and the rest in black metal but with some synth incursions in those as well. The lo-fi aspect in here is located on the vocals so we are able to discern and appreciate the melodies, on guitar , with some harmonies but also carry many dissonances, that results on adding an extra layer to the chaos or the lo-fi compartment. The drumming is really good, this also is what sets apart from many that do not give much attention to this instrument. When there is a person that actually plays it and does it well, it makes a great difference and here is clearly the case.
