Oprah SURPRISES New ’Color Purple’ Cast in Emotional Video

On Thursday, it was announced that Danielle Brooks and Fantasia Barrino will be joining the cast of the film adaptation of ’The Color Purple.’ The two will join Taraji P. Henson, Corey Hawkins and . in the film, which Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg will produce. Oprah personally delivered the news to Danielle, who will play the role of Sophia, the same part the 68-year-old TV icon first portrayed in the 1985 film.
