God gave us the book of Proverbs as the practical expression of the Ten Commandments. It is the clothing of Adam and Eve’s descendants so they could live appropriately through history and into the 21st century. The Proverbs are guidelines to keep us from going over the edge of the negative influences all humans are subject to.
Psychologically, our minds can be swayed into good or bad knowledge and understanding; this is the warring wisdom to which each human is exposed. Proverbs is designed to keep the world population on the straight and narrow.
