Patrick’s Anthrocon 2023

This summer I had the opportunity to leave town for a couple of weeks. My travels took me to Toronto, where I took part in the local Pride parade, and Pittsburgh, where I attended the now reclaimed largest furcon in the world, Anthrocon. This con has always been special to me, as it was the first furcon I ever attended in 2015 when I had just graduated high school. I filmed little clips on my roommates old camcorder and this footage has since unfortunately been lost. It seems so much has changed since then in my life and that of the furry fandom. What hasn’t changed however is the constant fascination, entertainment, and companionship that it has brought to me. These films have always been my way of giving back. Anthrocon 2023 was more than just a convention, it felt like the pilgrimage... a hub of our culture... a must-try fandom experience. Everything from the picturesque location, to the professionalism of the con staff, and to the unique way the city embraces the event, has guaranteed
