’Horrendous’ suicide rate for veterans

Australian Commando Association’s Steve Pilmore says more soldiers have been lost to suicide than in combat during the Afghan war. “Don’t forget we’ve already lost more guys to suicide since the Afghan war than we ever lost in combat operations,” Mr Pilmore told Sky News Australia host Chris Kenny. “It has an ongoing effect and I don’t think this is helping one bit. “The suicide rate for veterans is horrendous.“
