Thrills And Spills At Late Season Desert Point - Surfing Lombok, 13th October 2020

Quite a large crew made the trip to South Lombok a few days ago as it was possibly the final chance to score ’proper’ Desert Point this 2020 dry season. As usual, Brazilian surfer Bruno Santos (1:30) was a real standout laying down some big turns, and threading a few crazy tubes to the delight of those watching from the beach! Unfortunately, a light onshore wind was blowing for most of the day which definitely made for some pretty challenging conditions. Nevertheless, a lot of good waves were on offer and some amazing tubes were ridden throughout the day. Things did clean up in the late afternoon, but the waves suddenly switched off towards low tide and that was that.
