Commentator tells us that fashion designer Kitty Foster says the time has gone when smart women wear slacks in the house. As the women move about the living room (getting up from the piano, showing each other magazine articles, fetching tea and pouring from a teapot) we see C/Us of different features of their outfits. They are all wearing blouses and skirts. One woman wears a very wide studded belt; another wears a great striped blouse with a bow (would not look out of place in 2001) and large orchid earrings.
