Thailand’s Pita defeated in parliament in bid for PM
Thailand’s Pita Limjaroenrat failed on Thursday (July 13) in his initial bid to become Thailand’s next prime minister.
Despite being unopposed, the 42-year-old leader of election winners Move Forward did not secure the required endorsement of more than half of the bicameral parliament, with many lawmakers abstaining or voting against him.
