“The (Newe) Goshute People” are a tribe of Western Shoshone Indigenous Americans, located in Utah & Nevada, USA. There are two federally recognized Goshute tribes, today: “Confederated Tribes of the Goshute Reservation”, located in Nevada.. and the “Skull Valley Band of Goshute Indians”, of the Skull Valley Indian Reservation, located in Utah. The Goshute (Gosiute) People refer to themselves as: the Newe (nɨwɨ) or, Newenee (nɨwɨnɨɨ) People, though at times, they have used the term Kutsipiuti (Gutsipiuti) or, Kuttuhsippeh, meaning: “
