This is a reworked version of “I’m Your Boogie Man“ by KC & The Sunshine Band. In 1975, Disco music for the most part still not broadcast on the radio, Disco was the funky tribal music from New York City’s underground where the only imperative was to let off some steam and dance to the beat. Boogie down, baby. Disco had only recently become audible to the mainstram. It was still a new sound with a name known only to a few. Most Americans were hearing it on the radio for the first time. It was a sound most Americans associated with the inner city, with urban America, black America, and the sounds of the ghetto.. It was a radical departure from Rock-and-Roll music. and the Rock-And-Roll bands like The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin, performers who held epic rock concerts that filled stadiums.
