Analysing Rishi Sunak’s ’blatant bigotry’ after ’extremists’ speech

Matthew Wright points out the ‘blatant bigotry’ of Rishi Sunak ‘lecturing us’ after delivering a speech on how ’extremists are trying to undermine the country’s multi-faith democracy.’ Matthew also speaks with Political commentator Peter Oborne, who questions the motives of the Prime Minister and whether he’s ’confecting a national emergency to suit the strategy of the Conservative Party.’ In his Friday evening address, Sunak warned that democracy is being targeted by extremists. “Forces here at home trying to tear us apart,“ he said, while also warning about the current situation in Britain, in the aftermath of the October 7th attacks by Hamas against Israel. The Prime Minister added that the victory of George Galloway in the Rochdale by-election was “beyond alarming“ and that the government would set out a framework for policing protests.
