45ft Tsunami Barrier Model Test

A 45ft. reflecting barrier has limited protection against a 10 ft tsunami. Without the barrier, this tsunami inundating the shore would be about 10ft high as it moved across flat land. The barrier stops the tsunami until the water piles up, and eventually over-tops the barrier. Actual effectiveness is not shown here, as this tsunami’s period is too short.
