San Onofre Beach lease set to expire

It’s 6.5 miles of some of the most storied beaches in all of California, and a possible change to ownership is just six months out. Trestles, Lowers, and San Onofre Beach have been operating on the sweetheart deal President Nixon struck with the Navy 50 years ago, leasing the land to the State of California Parks Service for just $1 dollar per year.
