German electronic music producer and DJ, Blindsmyth was just going about his normal life as any other emerging musician in Berlin might have been – it was March and he was taking advantage of the slower winter months to develop new songs as well as plan the gigs set out for the year ahead. That’s before the pandemic struck, of course. The artist who like so many others saw his income dwindle and his future fog up, found himself with no other choice but to hold on. Whilst he did, a new EP ‘Hold On’ also emerged.
The EP’s title track, ‘Hold On’ might sound preachy, but it really isn’t. As a matter of fact, Blindsmyth initially meant it for no one but himself, “Hold On was a motivational track for myself,” he explains “Hold On, stay strong, there will be better times.” The artist would repeat these words like a mantra every day, and soon enough they acquired a musicality. A beat was added. Then some keys. Guitar chords. Before he knew it, he had composed the EP’s first single. Blindsmyth has always drawn
