Benchtop Spring Pole Lathe [Woodworking Project]

I really wanted to get a lathe but my shed is so tiny I needed one that I could pack away when I wasn’t using it. With that in mind I designed and created a benchtop lathe from pallet wood. This video documents the making of the lathe as well as a little bit of my attempted turning at the end. I still need a lot of practice! A lot of this lathe is based on a design by Roy Underhill, though really when it comes to a spring pole lathe many of the designs look similar because they’re all rather simple.
