​This 1973 Type 181 VW Thing is currently pending. Color changed to white in 2015, this 1973 VW Thing was purchased by the original owner in 2020. Intended to be kept for his permanent collection, he had noted VW specialist Viking Foreign Auto Parts in Novato, CA do $15k worth of work on the car, including a brand new flat four engine, an upgraded shifter and a conversion to front disc brakes.
