Current Migration Rules Are “Far More Liberal And Far More Flexible” Says Former Special Adviser
Former special adviser Gavin Rice says that current migration rules are “far more liberal and far more flexible”, resulting in increased arrivals in the UK.
Net migration figures are expected to reach 700,000 this year after a high of 606,000 in 2022.
The record figure is based on the Home Office’s own data on immigration arrivals and an estimate of emigration.
Gavin says: “We were promised a points-based immigration system like Australia but the numbers are far higher than predicted“
