Sergei Krylov was born in 1970 in Moscow in a family of musicians - the famous violinist Alexander Krylov and pianist, teacher of the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory Lyudmila Krylova. He began violin lessons at the age of five, having first entered the stage a year after the start of classes. He graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatory, a student of professors Leonid Kogan and Sergey Kravchenko (among his teachers are Volodar Bronin and Abram Stern). At the age of 10, he first performed with an orchestra and soon began intensive concert activity in Russia, China, Poland, Finland and Germany. By the age of sixteen, the violinist had several recordings for radio and television.
