Metropolis II; LTO x Pandem 190E | NFS Unbound

The past couple of weeks I’ve worked on a Mercedes-Benz 190E parts swap mod, shown in this Need for Speed Unbound cinematic. The goal was to combine Khyzyl Saleem’s LTO widebody kit for the BMW M3 E30 with the Pandem widebody kit for the 190E. The entire swapping process was four days of different configurations and adjustments, trying to find the perfect combination of settings to make this build work. This was my first attempt at swapping parts using Frosty, so I was learning while making this custom widebody option, which is essentially a project build. Initially, I settled for the LTO wing with the bumper and roof sets from A$AP Rocky’s hero car. However, the E30 and 190E have similar frames, just enough for me to attempt to use the LTO front bumper. The idea worked, once I figured out the adjustments to make, and it blends quite well with the overall look. What I love about the bumper is that it sits much lower than the default options for the 190E, giving it a more aggressive look. I completed the look of the build with custom suspension adjustments, mainly fixing the ride rake, while changing the tire dimensions to give the car the “Euro stance“. It’s still a work in progress as I need to adjust the spoiler some more. However, I’m satisfied with the results. In regards to this cinematic, it wasn’t planned initially. I wanted to take pictures at first. Once I discovered Archie’s camera tool uses keyframes for recording, similar to the Rockstar Editor in GTA V, I wanted to learn how to record with those options. What you see here is basically a compilation of random clips I recorded while testing out the functionalities of the tool. The quality isn’t near what it usually is in my cinematics, yet that wasn’t the goal. I figured the best idea for this cinematic showcase was to continue with the the original Metropolis work I did back in NFS 2015, when I first purchased my PC. With Unbound having pedestrians and a beautiful city, based on Chicago, it was the perfect setting to produce a jazz theme inspired piece (hence the portrait frame border). I wasn’t going to post this as it’s a lazy effort on my end. However, I already made it so may as well upload it.
