This robotic gripper could improve industrial safety

This two-fingered robotic gripper can adjust the stiffness of its grasp, mimicking an important quality of the human hand. Developed by University at Buffalo engineering professor Ehsan Esfahani and his research team, this gripper technology could help improve industrial safety by absorbing energy and changing its stiffness during collisions.
