Welsh convenience store employee in hilarious accident
In an event likely to go down in internet folklore as ‘the most interesting thing to ever happen in Pontypridd,’ a woman was accidentally hoisted into the air in a freak shop-opening accident. A staff member at the renowned Best-One convenience store, inconveniently located in a cul-de-sac in Tonteg, was patiently waiting outside for the manager to open up, oblivious to the hilarious nightmare that was about to turn her life, and herself, upside down. As the shutters rolled up to the fatalistic conclusion that, yes, the shop would be opening, the hapless woman found herself caught on the shutter.
As the endless seconds passed, she found herself dangling precariously as the shutters dragged her up by her coat until she was dangling by a literal thread. The manager, realizing he nearly accidentally killed one of his employees, rushed to her rescue and freed her from the airborne prison she was now indentured to. It is unclear whether the woman was fit to resume her duties after the ordeal, but the manager certainly seemed to think so, posting the footage to official Best-One social media channels with the caption ‘The only thing going up in this shop is our staff, not the prices!!’
