HAMY: HAMY is a Vietnamese DJ born and raised in Berlin. Her journey into music began in 2012 when she fi rst set foot in a club and was immediately captivated by the magic of it. This love for music led her to start collecting electronic music. Back then, she often took control of the AUX cable at private parties to share music with others, adhering to her motto of sharing music rather than gatekeeping it. In 2022, she fi nally started mixing, in order to bless the dance fl oors with her track selection, which she has collected over a decade. Earlier this year she had her fi rst club gig at OXI for Berlin’s queer party label »Ride«. Besides her DJing, she also works as a graphic designer for TILT, shaping the labels visual identity. So far, she has played at OXI Club (Berlin), Zur Klappe (Berlin), Karlstorbahnhof (Heidelberg), and RSO Berlin. HAMY’s music taste has been heavily in fl uenced by Berlin’s techno culture, so her sound is primarily techno-based. However, she also draws inspiration from the current shifts in the techno scene and incorporates them into her sound. Her style is characterized by old and new school techno, moody and deep kicks, as well as a touch of grooviness. She enjoys mixing di ff erent genres such as Trance, Acid, Powerhouse, and Detroit ghetto tech into her techno sets. Her latest 5-hour live recording at RSO Berlin was a b2b session with , showcasing her diverse musical in fl uences and her ability to create immersive and dynamic sets for her audience.
