In this tutorial I paint the icon of Saint Fanourios, a masterpiece of the Cretan School painted by one of the greatest Iconographers of all time, Aggelos Akotantos. The painter lived and painted in Heraklion until 1450 when he passed. His amazing icon of Saint Fanourios is exhibited at the Byzantine and Christian Museum of Heraklion and since I live close by I am lucky enought to get live courses from the icon itself!
