Adding NERITE SNAILS | CLOUDY WATER in new aquarium | EP2 HILLSTREAM AQUARIUM

Cloudy water in new Hillstream Aquarium (River Aquarium) was removed by adding filter floss to the filter baskets. Two Nerite snails were added and their main role will be to eat dead plant matter, produce ammonia and feed the “filter start“ bacteria I added on the day aquarium was created. Other than that I added acrylic lid on the aquarium to stop evaporation and to prevent organism from escaping aquarium. The lid is barely visible. Skimmer was added to clear the oily film that started to create in the left corner of aquarium. Next episode I will start to introduce fish. 00:00 Intro 00:29 Recap EP1 01:01 Day 1 Hillstream Aquarium 01:18 Cloudy water in new aquarium 01:51 Filter floss for cloudy water 02:13 Day 2 Hillstream aquarium 02:51 Adding shrimp food 03:12 Day 3 Hillstream aquarium 03:33 Brown aquarium water 04:04 Damaged plant leaves 04:42 Aquarium stocking plan 05:11 Adding nerite snails 05:38 Adding blanched zucchini 06:35 Acrylic aquarium lid 07:11 Placing aquarium lid 07:56 Day 4 Hillstream aquarium 08:25 Adding surface skimmer 08:47 Nerite snail trying to escape 09:20 Future of hillstream aquarium Aquarium - 120cmx45cmx30cm (47inx18inx12in) Optiwhite glass 10mm | Tank Volume 162LTR | 43GAL Filter - External with pre-filter basket (1000L/H | 264GAL/H) Light - LED Power: 53W | Luminous flux 4800lm Stream pump - (2000L/H | 528GAL/H) CO2 - NO Heater - NO Plants - Bucephalandra wavy green, Anubias barteri nana, Anubias barteri coffeefolia, Cryptocoryne wendtii green, Microsorum pteropus, Vallisneria spiralis Instagram - Music - Epidemic Sound: Madison York / In Pieces / courtesy of Johannes Bornlöf / The Rose And The Thorn / courtesy of
