Lazar Berman plays Boris Alexandrov Fantasia - video 1965

Lazar Berman playing Boris Alexandrov’s Fantasia for piano and orchestra, with the composer himself conducting the Alexandrov Ensemble, live in Moscow in 1965. I had many problems with this video and at some points it shows. The audio was corrupted so I had to remove it entirely and track down another audio recording of the same concert. Upon trying to sync, it then had many sections which raced ahead by seconds, others which ran behind by seconds, and generally was a mess to put together. I’ve managed to synchronise the majority of audio and video, though there are a few moments where it comes apart. Most importantly they start and finish together. Also at the start I had to make the announcer disappear, which reminds me that we’re not yet entirely out of the dark times.
