camshaft/chain reassembly - 1983 vt750 honda shadow

i had a lot of trouble trying to correctly get the chain back onto the camshaft and sprocket. once i finally found the right technique, it is a breeze. following the manual didn’t make it clear enough, so hopefully this helps someone else with the same issue
