#FreeBritney supporters gather outside court for Britney Spears conservatorship hearing

Fans marched outside and chanted, but a court hearing Wednesday (17 MARCH) on Britney Spears’ conservatorship had none of the drama of the past two hearings. In recent appearances, attorneys for Spears and lawyers for her father Jamie Spears clashed repeatedly over his role in the legal arrangement that has control of her life and money. But during Wednesday’s brief and mostly administrative hearing, the two sides jointly asked the judge to delay an accounting and status report on the conservatorship until April 27. In their minimal remarks to the judge, lawyers for the two sides suggested they might be closer to resolving the issues they’ve been fighting over. As they always do for such hearings, the Spears fans that form the #FreeBritney movement that seeks to see her released from the conservatorship gathered and picketed outside the downtown Los Angeles courthouse.
