Sacrifice: the Abkhazian Way

In Traditional Abkhazian belief, ritual sacrifice is involved. Most often, a white goat, sheep or a bull is sacrificed. The meaning of this rite is to thank God for saving souls. More often, they ask from God for the success of this or that person and pray for the salvation of his/her life, health or well-being.
