According to legend,In the “Classic of Mountains and Seas,“ the Human Goat-Horned God is a fascinating and unique figure. This deity comes from a mountain range that stretches from Shihu Mountain to Wugao Mountain, covering about six thousand nine hundred li. He has a human body with goat horns, and ancient people believed that his appearance often signaled storms and floods. Out of respect and belief in this mountain god, they would offer a ram as a sacrifice and use yellow millet for the ritual. He is somewhat reminiscent of similar deities in other cultures, such as Pan from Greek mythology, Amun from Egyptian mythology, and Cernunnos from Celtic mythology.
